I have been a fan of Yummy magazine since their first issues came out 5 years ago. As I had shared in my previous
Yummy post I shared how this magazine help me cope during a very difficult time in my life. On their fifth year the team behind this magazine continues to inspire its readers with mouthwatering photos and easy to follow and do recipes. Here are some of the pages in the March 2012 issues that I have bookmarked.

Yummy Likes is a recent addition that has become a must read for me |
|
I will be making this for the Little Ones soon |
|
The sweet labuyo chili sauce will be for me |
|
The Yummy pages are always visually appealing |
|
10 Ideas is one of my favorite things in Yummy, you get 10 food ideas in one page |
|
I miss Divine's "Fresh for Last" however Kristine's "Making It" is also a wonderful read. I have always admire Kristine's writing, she was a batchmate of mine in highschool. I hope that Divine would return to Yummy so that I could enjoy reading both her's and Kristine's articles. |
Happy 5th Birthday Yummy, looking forward to more delicious cooking and eating years with you =)
Everything Japanese caught my attention. I've been seeing Yummy on different magazine stands but haven't tried purchasing one yet.
ReplyDeleteWow, happy 5th birthday to a really delish read, Yummy! :) I don't have a lot of copies of Yummy, but I'll make sure to grab the latest issue soon.. ^^
ReplyDeleteWe've tried that chili in lumpia wrapper! It's delicious. We call that "dynamite," it will explode on your mouth! :)
ReplyDeletei have several copies of yummy magazines too. =) grabeh! five years na pala sila.
ReplyDeleteYummy has been a companion ever since I got married and made a home of my own. I've learned much from it, especially how to be a diva in making my own recipes. :)
ReplyDeleteIve never encountered this magazine before glad it inspires you in your daily living
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite mags too! The recipes are all very doable. :)
ReplyDeleteI also read Yummy magazine. This is where I get some of my recipes especially those that are easy to do.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this. Happy 5th anniversary. Will grab that copy tomorrow. =)
ReplyDeleteI love it that you have a personal connection to the magazine. The kind of affinity you mentioned I have with different books, that accompanied me through rough periods (makes me want to seek out the author and hug them for "being there" for me; one reason I love writing, too - hoping I'll be a comfort to at least one reader).
ReplyDeleteNow, I am very curious if I can get hold of Yummy here in the Netherlands. Otherwise, I'll have to ask friends from the Philippines to sent it to me.
Hi
ReplyDeleteI have a few copies of Yummy magazines in my stash. It is my savior when I ran out of ideas on what to cook next ; p

Hi Eileen,
ReplyDeleteI read your comment in my blog. So heartwarming, thank you!
You can do it too! Lalo ka na may talent sa cooking. Concentrate on what you're good at and then the advertisers will follow. Also it doesn't hurt to move to your own dot com domain. Mine took two years before I moved my first blog to its own domain. Nanghinayang ako. hehe
Anyway, good luck to us.
Best,
Paula
Hello Eileen!
ReplyDeleteI am not much of a cook. This is my least skill as a woman but I do cook once in awhile. You have an awesome talent and I am sure you can do what ever your heart pursue.
Anyway, I might try buying Yummy Magazine too! And when you do the sweet labuyo chili sauce, don't forget to give me a buzz. I love anything hot! <3
